The department has several propane fire burn pans that allow participants to actually learn how to use an extinguisher through practical use. After a short classroom training session and video tape, participants adjourn to an outside location where they are taught, under supervision of trained fire prevention personnel, how to correctly use these life saving devices.
If you are a business owner you are required to provide annual training which the department can provide. While no fee is charged, donations are accepted. The requesting agency or person is required to provide all extinguishers.
